    To the present, the ethnic populations in the US have experienced incredible growth and there appears to be no slowdown in sight. The census, among other measuring tools, paint a picture where the Asian, Black and Hispanic/Latino communities are becoming formidable markets Corporate America must address.

A perfect example of this type of population growth is the state of Connecticut where the combined ethnic populations approach 20%*. Hispanics/Latinos are the largest ethnic group in the state. New waves of Latin American immigrants not only increasing this group but also changing the makeup of Connecticut’s Hispanic population as well. Although Connecticut Hispanic/Latinos have been predominantly Puerto Rican, newly arrived Peruvians, Colombians, Dominicans and Mexicans are changing the ethnic makeup of this diverse group.
